Itinerary

Day 1
Dar es salaam - Mikumi National Park
Depart Dar and drive to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park abuts the northern border of Africa's biggest game reserve - the Selous – and is transected by the surfaced road between Dar es Salaam and Iringa. It is thus the most accessible part of a 75,000 square kilometre (47,000 square mile) tract of wilderness that stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean. Lions survey their grassy kingdom – and the zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo herds that migrate across it – from the flattened tops of termite mounds, or sometimes, during the rains, from perches high in the trees. Giraffes forage in the isolated acacia stands that fringe the Mkata River, islets of shade favoured also by Mikumi's elephants. Lunch at Vuma or Kikoboga camp. Afternoon game viewing in Mikumi National Park. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills Tented Camp or Kikoboga Camp.
Day 2
Mikumi National Park
After breakfast go for a full day game drive in Mikumi. Full board accommodation included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills Tented Camp or Kikoboga Camp.
Day 3
Mikumi National Park - Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast depart for Selous Game Reserve. Located in south-east Tanzania in a remote and little-visited part of the country, the Selous Game Reserve is Africa’s largest protected wildlife reserve and covers more than 5% of Tanzania’s total area. It’s rivers, hills, and plains are home to roaming elephant populations, the area’s famous wild dogs, and some of the last black rhino left in the region. Due to its remote location, and because it is most easily accessible only by small aircraft, the Selous Game Reserve has remained one of the untouched gems of Tanzania’s national parks and game reserves, and offers visitors a chance to see a wild and expansive Africa far from paved roads and curio shops. Picnic lunch on the way, en route game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Selous Ndoto Kidogo Lodge.
Day 4
Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast, morning walking safari and then continue for a game drive in Selous. Full board accommodation included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Selous Ndoto Kidogo Lodge.
Day 5
Selous Game Reserve - Dar es Salaam
After breakfast go for Boat Safari in the morning and drive back to Dar es Salaam with your picnic lunch.
