15 Days/ 14 Nights: Nairobi/Tsavo West/Amboseli/Mt. Kenya/Samburu/Lake Naivasha/Baringo/Bogoria/Lake Nakuru/Masai Mara/Nairobi

DAY 01: NAIROBI
 
You will be met on arrival at Jomo Kenyata International Airport. Our experienced guide will transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel for the night. Nairobi is Kenya's principal economic, administrative, and cultural center and is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Africa. Manufactures include processed food, textiles, clothing, building materials, and communications and transportation equipment.
The city also has a large tourist industry. You will spend your night at Nairobi Safari Club or similar.
 
DAY 02: Nairobi- Tsavo West
 
Depart after your breakfast for Tsavo West National Park. “Full of wild beasts, such as rhinoceros, buffaloes and elephants” from a missionary’s diary written in 1849.
Later in 1900 the notorious “Man Eaters of Tsavo” man-eating lions preyed on the railway linesman building the great Uganda Railway in 1900. The carriage from which they pulled a traveler is on display in Nairobi Railway Museum.
Tsavo-West has important historic connections as a major battleground in World War I where British and Germany troops battled for supremacy. Arrive in time for lunch at Severin Safari Camp. Enjoy your afternoon game drive, dinner and over night at Severin Luxurious Safari Camp or similar.
 
DAY 03: Tsavo West
 
Enjoy your full day game drives at Tsavo West National park. Dinner and overnight at Severin Safari Camp or similar.
 
DAY 04: Tsavo West- Amboseli

DAY 05 : Amboseli National Park
 
Enjoy your full day game drives at Amboseli National park. Dinner and over night at Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY 06: Amboseli-Mt. Kenya
 
The Aberdare National Park is part of the Aberdare Mountain Range, a fascinating region of Kenya. According to traditional Kikuyu folklore they are one of the homes of Ngai (God).
Mountain ranges and peaks soar to around 12,900ft (3,930m) giving way to deep V-shaped valleys with streams and rivers cascading over spectacular waterfalls – this area is a must for landscape lovers.
From its vital catchment area the Aberdare Rainforest feeds the entire local and Nairobi water supply. Above the forest is a belt of bamboo, a favourite haunt of the Bongo, a rare and elusive forest antelope. Arrive in time for lunch at Outspan hotel. Dinner and overnight at Outspan Hotel or similar.
 
DAY 07 : Mt. Kenya-Samburu
 
Transfer from Outspan Hotel to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Samburu Sopa Lodge is built overlooking the wildlife-rich banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river, and is comprised of 60 en-suite rooms, all with balconies from which to view the hills, plains and river surrounding the lodge. Enjoy your afternoon game drive at Samburu National Reserve.Dinner and over night at Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY 08: Samburu
 
Enjoy your early morning and afternoon game drives with our safari guides at Samburu National Park. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY 09 : Samburu-Lake Naivasha
 
At 1880 meters above sea level, Lake Naivasha is the highest of the Rift Valley Lakes. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya and one of only two freshwater lakes in the rift valley, the other being Lake Baringo. Lake Naivasha is unusual in having no known outlet, normally a prerequisite for a freshwater lake! The lake edge supports dense vegetation which in turn supports a thriving bird population including the Grey-capped warbler, Spectacled Weaver, Brimstone Canary and Red-billed Firefinch.
All told the area has a bird list of over 350 species. While not usually one of the main safari stops.
Dinner and overnight to be spent at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY 10: Lake Navasha- Lake Baringo
 
Depart after breakfast for Baringo. On the shores of Lake Baringo, 285 kms northwest of Nairobi, Lake Baringo Club nestles amongst palm trees, green lawns and the clashing pinks, purples, reds and oranges of bougainvillea obviously thriving in the hot steamy days that characterise so many of the Great Rift Valley's lakes.
The Club has its own special atmosphere of peace and comfort- the architecture has a Spanish touch while the garden grounds are unmistakably African but laid out with English flair.
Participate in morning and afternoon game drive at the park.,Dinner and overnight at Lake Baringo Country Club or similar.
 
DAY 11 : Lake Baringo-Lake Bogoria
 
The Lake Bogoria Spa Resort is an Eden in a quite, isolated cocoon of comfort in the heart of an amazing product of African nature- the Rift Valley.
The resort is an oasis in the middle of the Savannah, set in the Acacia surrounding of the floor of the Rift Valley against the backdrop of the Eastern wall of the Tugen hills in the west.
Dinner and over night at Lake Bogoria Resort or similar.
 
DAY 12: Lake Bogoria-Lake Nakuru
 
Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its numerous geysers and springs, is 150km away while the capital city -Nairobi is just 300km from the resort.
The hotel is a paradise for bird watchers -the marabon storks and other resident birds provide a lively welcome for you ! Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge.Enjoy your afternoon Game drive at Hells gate Game Park.Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.
 
DAY13 : Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara
 
The Masai Mara National Reserve is administered by the local county council. It is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views (seen in the film ‘Out of Africa’, much of which was filmed here)an extraordinary density of animals including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game. You will arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge.Dinner and over night at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY14: Masai Mara
 
Day of game viewing with your skilled guide. A dawn drive and afternoon drive for 2-3hrs each, or ask your driver to take you on a full day drive with a picnic lunch. Sign up for optional activities at your lodge (not included in tour price); hot air balloon ($460pp), guided nature walk ($40pp), or other.
Dinner and overnight to be spent at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
 
DAY 15 : Masai Mara- Nairobi
 
Depart after breakfast for Nairobi. You will be transferred to carnivore for your farewell dinner. There after transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your inbound flight back home.
